Renesas Electronics VersaClock 3S Clock Generators

Renesas Electronics VersaClock 3S Programmable Clock Generators are designed for low-power, consumer, and high-performance PCI Express applications. The generators feature a three PLL architecture design with each PLL individually programmable. This allows for up to three (5P35021) or six (5P35023) unique frequency outputs. The generators feature Proactive Power Saving (PPS), Performance-Power Balancing (PPB), Overshot Reduction Technology (ORT), and Extreme Low Power DCO.

  • PPS: Proactive Power Saving features save power during the end device power down mode
  • PPB: Performance- Power Balancing feature allows minimum power consumption based on required performance
  • Spread Spectrum clock support to lower system EMI
  • Store user configuration into OTP memory
  • I2C interface
  • DFC: Dynamic Frequency Control feature allows user to dynamically switch between and up to 4 difference frequencies smoothly
