SHTC3 Ultra-Low Power Digital Humidity Sensor

The Sensirion SHTC3 Ultra-Low Power Humidity and Temperature Sensor is built on the success of the SHTC1 sensor with a broader supply voltage range (1.62-3.6V) and higher accuracy (±2% RH, ±0.2°C), enabling greater flexibility. The SHTC3 Digital Humidity Sensor is designed for the consumer electronics industry and offers an optimal balance between small form factor (2 x 2 x 0.75mm3), high robustness, and easy handling. This sensor overcomes conventional limits for size, power consumption, and performance to price ratio to fulfil current and future requirements. Sensirion CMOSens® technology offers a complete sensor system on a single chip, consisting of a capacitive humidity sensor, a bandgap temperature sensor, analogue and digital signal processing, A/D converter, calibration data memory, and a digital communication interface supporting I2C fast mode. The sensor covers a humidity measurement range of 0 to 100% RH and a temperature measurement range of -40°C to 125°C. The broad supply voltage and an energy budget below 1µJ per measurement make SHTC3 suitable for mobile or wireless applications powered by batteries.
