These NorComp backshells are available in die-cast, metalized plastic, and plastic shell options depending on the application and level of signal protection against shock and vibration.

966 Series MICRO-D Backshells

NorComp 966 Series MICRO-D Backshells are designed for harsh environments with limited space. These backshells optimize the conventional D-sub backshell into a compact configuration suitable for space-restricted applications found in industrial robotics, wireless transmitters, and commercial military (COTS) equivalents. MICRO-D backshells feature diecast ZAMAK construction and are available in three sizes: 9, 15, and 25. Compatible with most industry micro D-subs, these backshells offer a metal-to-metal interface for robust mechanical connections and shield effectiveness. NorComp 966 Series MICRO-D Backshells have two operating temperature ranges: -30°C to +80°C with grommets and -40°C to +125°C without grommets.
