Automotive KCM Metal Terminal Type MLCCs

Murata Electronics KCM Metal Terminal Type MLCCs are AEC-Q200 qualified and substantially reduce noise by approximately 30dB. These MLCCs are highly reliable and will not be damaged even with a board deflection of 6mm, and solder cracks do not appear even with 2000 cycles of heat stress. Specifications include a voltage range of 25V_DC to 1000V_DC and a maximum capacitance of 100µF. Larger capacities can be achieved by stacking two chips. Murata Electronics KCM MLCCs are suitable for automotive powertrain and safety equipment.

KCM & KRM Metal Terminal Capacitors

Murata KCM and KRM Metal Terminal Capacitors are designed to offer increased reliability for thermal and mechanical stress. The capacitors provide space-saving benefits and high capacitance value by stacking two MLCCs. The KCM series is highly resistant to PCB flexure in automotive applications by using metal pins that have an elastic action, which reduces wear on the capacitor elements. The KRM capacitors for power supply circuits have ferric alloy terminals that lift the capacitor up to 1mm above the PCB, eliminating the transmission of bending forces between the capacitor and the PCB. Murata KCM and KRM Metal Terminal Capacitors are RoHS compliant.

Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

Murata Cap House ceramic capacitors are available in general-purpose capacitors, high-frequency, soft termination, LED application, metal terminal, and AEC-Q200 Epoxy capacitors. These ceramic capacitors support solutions for suppressing acoustic noise in battery lines of laptop computers.

Automotive MLCCs for Snubber Circuits

Murata Automotive MLCCs for Snubber Circuits offer high-voltage tolerance with temperature-compensating U2J characteristics for large-current snubber circuits in automotive applications. The metal terminal-type multilayer ceramic capacitors are designed for IGBT snubber circuits used in automotive equipment. The capacitors use a temperature-compensating ceramic with minimal capacitance variation, making them ideal for use as components in snubber circuits that handle large voltages during switching and where compactness and heat tolerance are required. Murata Automotive MLCCs for Snubber Circuits have a capacitance range of 8.2nF to 94nF and a rated voltage of 630V_DC to 1000V_DC.
