Hall Effect devices provide digital or analog output signals that are used for proximity and continuous rotary or linear positioning. Hall Effect Sensors feature active circuitry, so they always draw a small amount of current. Digital Hall Effect Sensors are ideal for high-speed sensing applications such as washing machines. Analog Hall Effect Sensors are used to detect dial positions in appliances such as dishwashers.
