These capacitors offer high capacitance density, high peak current, and a long lifetime. Typical applications include inverter systems, motor drives, battery chargers, AC and harmonic filtering, clamping/damping systems, and power factor correction (PFC).

C44A MKP Aluminum Can Power Film Capacitors

KEMET C44A MKP Aluminum Can Power Film Capacitors are polypropylene metalized film capacitors with a cylindrical, aluminum can-type design filled with resin and are suitable for general-purpose applications. These devices use screw or Faston terminals and a plastic insulator. C44A MKP aluminum case capacitors from KEMET have a temperature range (case) of -40°C to +85°C with a maximum permissible ambient temperature of +70°C. In addition, these capacitors have a capacitance tolerance of ±5%, tinned brass or screw terminals, and can be installed in any position.

Medium/High Power Polypropylene Capacitors

KEMET Polypropylene Capacitors for Medium/High Power Applications offer an 800VDC to 3000VDC voltage range and a 1µF to 1000µF capacitance range. These capacitors are ideal for DC-AC filtering, snubber, and resonance applications.
