Infineon TLE500x/TLE501x Magnetic Angle Sensors are designed with a magnetic angle sensing principle that is based on proven, automotive-qualified integrated Giant Magneto Resistive (iGMR) technology. iGMR technology combines magneto resistive sensing elements with integrated circuits in one chip. These devices can determine the absolute orientation of a magnetic field over the full range between 0° and 360° with high angular accuracy and resolution. These products offer the benefits of integrated, fast signal processing, short delay times and multiple interface options. Typical applications include magnetic encoding, motor commutation, steering angle, and rotation position measurements.

TLE5501 E0001 & E0002 XENSIV™ Magnetic Sensors

Infineon Technologies TLE5501 E0001 & E0002 XENSIV Magnetic Position Sensors are analogue TMR-based angle sensors for any kind of angular position sensing. The TLE5501 is a 360° TMR-based angle sensor that detects the orientation of a magnetic field. This is achieved by measuring sine and cosine angle components with tunnelling magnetoresistance (TMR) elements. These raw signals (sine and cosine) are provided as a differential output signal and can be further processed directly within a microcontroller. The large output voltage of the bridge renders any further signal amplification unnecessary.
