Amphenol FCI AirMax VS2® High-Speed Backplane Connectors provide a migration path from AirMax VS® for speeds up to 20Gb/s, providing a margin of safety for typical 802.3ap system performance with the flexibility of an open-pin field design. The connectors leverage AirMax VS and VSe® design features and technology to achieve improved signal integrity and mechanical attributes compared to AirMax VS connectors. AirMax VS2® High-Speed Backplane Connectors are mating-compatible to both AirMax VS and AirMax VSe connectors. The right-angle and vertical receptacles and headers support backplane, mid-plane, and coplanar applications.

AirMax VS® Connectors

Amphenol FCI AirMax VS® Hard Metric connector family is comprised of the VS, VS2, and VSe backplane connectors as well as Hard Metric power connectors. The AirMax series ranges in speeds of 12.5Gb/s up to 25Gb/s and are backward compatible with existing AirMax designs allowing designers to easily upgrade to higher speed performance.
